Carmelo La Bionda
-who formed the musical duo Rigueira with his brother- has died in Italy.
La Bionda, who is also known by the stage name DD Sound, has passed away at his home in San Donato, Milan.
He was 73 years old and has died of
an incurable disease.
Among the great successes that she leaves behind are songs like 'One for you, one for me' and 'Vamos a la playa', very popular in Italy and Spain in the 70s and 80s.
The two brothers are considered the inventors of Italian disco music and their hits regularly reached the top of the European charts.
The funeral was held on Tuesday, in the parish of San Pietro, in San Donato Milanese, where many friends and colleagues of the singer could be seen.
