Environmental activist, Rob Greenfield only fed, for 30 days, on food that he picked or picked up in Central Park, a green setting in the heart of New York.

"In this little corner alone, there are four edible and medicinal plants," he says.

We have dandelion, plantain – an excellent food and medicine – lamb's quarters, which looks like spinach, and, of course, a raspberry!

“I feel more deeply connected with the Earth”

“For me, it is absolutely not a survivalist project, defends Rob Greenfield.

I do it to enjoy life, to blossom, to feel good.

I've eaten over a hundred different foods found in nature this month just by opening my eyes.

I feel more deeply connected with the Earth”.

This activist also argues that more than 70% of non-organic agricultural products sold in the United States contain pesticide residues, which can have harmful effects on consumers.

"I've been thinking for ten years about the global agri-food system and the devastation it causes," he says.

Rob Greenfield also organizes happenings to denounce the practices of the food industry, which each year generates 3.4 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases and wastes 33 million tonnes of food.
