Megumi Yokota, who was in her first year of junior high school, was abducted by North Korea on her way home from school, and next week will mark 45 years. After clarifying, I asked the government to take concrete action to return to Japan as soon as possible.

Megumi Yokota was abducted by North Korea on her way home from school in Niigata City in November 1977 when she was in her first year of junior high school.

Since then, her safety remains unknown, and 45 years have passed since she was abducted on the 15th of this month.

Prior to this, her mother Sakie (86) held a press conference on the 8th, and commented on the 45 years, saying, "An ordinary person has been working hard, but I don't even know the news, and I don't even know the face. I can't see and I can't hear my voice. It's so empty that I can't express it.I've been thinking about various things, such as whether it will end without being able to solve it, and I feel really empty as a human being."

On top of that, he said, "I want to say what the government is doing. It's a serious problem, but it's been a long time. If we don't talk with North Korea, we won't be able to move forward, so I would like the government to act quickly."

She said, "It's been a hell of a long time for the abductees, but I think the day will come when they will be blessed for their patience when things are resolved. There will always be a way out, so they won't get sick." I hope you are doing well," he called out.
