A calf born on a farm in Aveyron underwent an operation that lasted more than two hours.

The animal had indeed been born with six legs.

Four were in the usual place and two more had grown on his back, just below his neck.

Photos of the young bovine before and after the surgery were posted last Friday on the Facebook page of a veterinary clinic.



Animal health professionals have clarified that the calf had a completely classic existence for two months, despite having six legs.

The operation then went off without a hitch.

The veterinarians who shared the photos specified that the intervention had been carried out by colleagues, whom they wanted to congratulate.

It was not specified whether the two additional legs were articulated and functional,
