The Nagoya City Seibu Child Guidance Center revealed that a 15-year-old girl who was temporarily protected fell from the third floor of the facility on the night of the 7th and died.

Since no measures were taken to prevent the fall, the Child Guidance Center will proceed with a detailed investigation of the cause and consideration of measures to prevent recurrence.

According to the Seibu Child Guidance Center in Nakagawa Ward, Nagoya City, on the night of the 7th, a 15-year-old girl in the city was accepted at the child guidance center after receiving a notice from the police that protection was required.

The girl said she wanted to go to the bathroom shortly after her arrival, so she was taken to the bathroom on the third floor, whereupon she fell out of the window.

She was taken to the hospital where the girl was pronounced dead.

The toilet window is about 10 meters high, but measures such as installing a grid or reducing the width of the opening and closing were not taken to prevent falling.

The Child Guidance Center will proceed with a detailed investigation into the cause and consideration of measures to prevent recurrence.

Director Koji Hashimoto of the Seibu Child Guidance Center said, "As a child guidance center that takes care of children's lives, we take it very seriously. We would like to take measures to prevent falls as soon as possible."
