"Al-Duhaih" in Sharjah: proud of the book fair

The famous content creator Ahmed Al-Ghandour (Al-Duhayh) expressed his pride in witnessing an Arab book fair that has become one of the largest in the world, the Sharjah International Book Fair, which Al-Ghandour was the guest of its 41st session.

With enthusiastic applause, the audience of the exhibition, which was filled with the celebration hall, received "Al-Daheeh", to present on stage what looks like a live episode of his famous program on the "YouTube" platform.

With his ascension to the stage, he expressed his happiness to present the content of his program between the activities of the exhibition, adding that it is nice to see the audience directly in front of him, not just as viewership numbers on the Internet, but as people and faces that he can interact with directly.

The Egyptian content creator took his audience on a scientific journey, with his same fun style of simplifying science, to delve into various topics, in natural sciences, history, economics, and technology, stopping at the "smile" as a language capable of transcending distances and differences between humans.

He touched on many divergent scientific topics, from which he wove an interesting story, as he began to talk about the functions of the human body, starting with the invention of the guillotine in the 18th century in France, passing through important stations in the history of science, and the view that many scientists used to underestimate in Europe is like other human peoples, in a way that affected the objectivity of their studies.

The effectiveness was not without many new information that was presented as an entertaining material for non-specialists, such as the ability of the human brain to contain the same amount of data on the entire Internet, and its consumption of 20% of the body’s energy, although it represents only 2% of the human weight, at the same time. In which Al-Duhayh noted that the nose is a marginal organ, as opposed to the eye and the ear, despite its evolutionary importance and its profound impact on the sense of taste.

Al-Ghandour stressed: "What I presented on stage was the result of the work of a collective team, which came to translate the journey we took in (Al-Daheeh), from a young researcher presenting content on (YouTube) from his home, to what has now become an integrated system of researchers and content makers... I am proud to be a part of the (Al-Duhaih) team, because we consider that what our program offers is a simple visual scientific library in the Arabic language.”
