Fang Xiang proposed that before the frost comes, it is recommended that apples, pears, Jujube and other producing areas are harvested in time, and orchards have taken measures to prevent cold.

Warm sheds and livestock pens in northern facilities should also be reinforced and kept warm to prevent the impact of low temperatures.

La Niña events to last until winter 2022/2023

The latest monitoring shows that the La Niña event in the equatorial and central and eastern Pacific Ocean has continued since October.

This La Niña event is expected to last until the winter of 2022/2023.

Xiao Chan, deputy director of the National Climate Center, said that since the spring of 2020, the equatorial central and eastern Pacific has rapidly turned colder. The three-time La Niña that developed again in the autumn of 2019 is also called the "triple" La Niña event.

Xiao Chan said that the La Niña event is only one of the underlying forcing factors that affect the climate in my country in autumn and winter, and there is no need to "talk about the color change of La Niña". my country's winter climate is also affected by factors such as Arctic sea ice and Eurasian snow cover. At the same time, atmospheric Natural variability within the system also plays an important role.

According to the forecast of the meteorological department, the intensity of cold air affecting my country is generally weak this winter. Except for the eastern and western Inner Mongolia, northern northeast, most of southern China, southeastern southwest, and central and eastern northwest, the temperature in the rest of the country is lower than the same period of the previous year. Temperature conditions may affect preheating

November is the time when many places in the north start heating, and cities such as Lhasa and Yanji have started heating one after another.

According to the Beijing Municipal Commission of Urban Management, Beijing has officially started the trial operation of the heating system on November 7.

Fang Xiang said that regarding whether to heat up in advance, relevant standards have been formulated in various places, and the daily average temperature for 5 consecutive days is generally referred to.

Taking Beijing as an example, it is stipulated that when the daily average temperature for 5 consecutive days is 5°C or below, or when heavy snowfall and other weather may have an important impact on residents' living, heating can be advanced.

Fang Xiang introduced that according to the latest weather forecast, the temperature in Beijing was on the high side before the 11th, and there will be an obvious cold air activity from the 12th to the 14th, and the daily average temperature will drop below 5°C, but the duration may not meet the standard.

Fang Xiang said that local meteorological departments will closely monitor the weather, release forecast and early warning information in a timely manner, conduct research and judgment in advance, and provide first-hand information for heating decisions.
