A Ukrainian human rights group, which has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for this year, held an online dialogue on the 7th with Japanese officials who are engaged in activities to disseminate the threat of nuclear weapons, and to prevent the use of nuclear weapons by Russia. He appealed for the need to spread the voices of Japanese hibakusha.

This dialogue was planned by the representative of a venture company in Osaka that is engaged in activities to disseminate the threat of nuclear weapons, and Oleksandra Romantsova of the Ukrainian human rights organization "Civil Liberty Center", who has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize this year. I exchanged opinions on the theme of nuclear weapons with Mr.

Regarding Russia's President Vladimir Putin's willingness to use nuclear weapons, Romantsova said, "If nuclear weapons are actually used, the damage will not only affect Ukraine but the entire world. We must stop Russia from using nuclear weapons."

On top of that, he said, "Japan is the only country that has experienced the terror of nuclear weapons, and by spreading the voices of the hibakusha, people around the world should be able to recognize the nuclear issue as their own." He expressed his expectations for Japan's role.

In addition, he called for further support from Japan in light of the fact that the Russian military's attack has spread to the lives of citizens in Ukraine, such as power shortages.
