the start

The story of the two Emirati youths, Muhammad Al-Mazroui and Sultan Al-Jabri in America, began during the period of their scholarship to study, where they met for the first time and the study brought them together, until the Corona pandemic came to them in 2019 at the end of their academic career, and despite the great difficulties they faced because of it, they tried to search for a positive aspect in it. They consider that this pandemic that has exhausted the world has great merit in discovering and developing their cooking skills;

Where this period led them to try cooking and preparing various recipes because of their feeling of boredom, because of the long days of stone, and they used their time to prepare food, so they were creative in preparing delicious dishes, most notably chicken in the “Nashville” way, which they excelled in and was popular with their friends at the time, which led later To establish their project "Flare" upon their return to the UAE after graduating with distinction.

Al Mazrouei said: “We were in America in the last period of study, as we were on the verge of graduation, and this period coincided with the beginning of the Corona pandemic, which caused many changes, such as restrictions that did not allow us to go out or order food as we used to do previously, so we paid It's for cooking ourselves and preparing food for us and our friends.”

Al Jabri explained: "In the beginning, we prepared chicken in the Nashville way in our home in America, where we prepared it for friends as well, and it was very well received, which prompted us to try other recipes and develop this recipe until it became suitable for everyone."

Back to the Emirates

“When we returned to our homeland and after joining the job, the idea of the project was still in our minds, as we wanted to open our own restaurant, and we did not find any difficulty in that, so we opened a restaurant in Al Ain, and it received a wide response and wonderful interaction from customers who expressed their happiness with our participation as citizens in this field;

Then we opened another branch in Dubai.

The two young men stressed that direct contact with customers gained them moral support, which contributed to pushing them to develop their capabilities. They also stressed the community’s encouragement for young citizens, especially when they see them at the head of their work. They said: “Certainly, friends and family have a prominent role in developing our products, and other people have an important role as well. Where there was a great appreciation from customers for the effort we made, especially when we stood at the head of our work.” Al-Jabri said: “I will not forget the smile of the customers and the word (God bless you).”

The two young men pointed to the role of family and friends in their support, in addition to the facilities provided by the state to young people. Upon their return from America and after graduating with distinction, the two young men implemented the project and worked on it under their direct supervision, where Muhammad and Sultan stand in front of the food cart for their project, preparing chicken sandwiches with their own mixture. And under the direct supervision of the workers, for their keenness to provide the food in the required form and delicious taste.

independence and expertise

Al Mazrouei said: “In the beginning, it was planned that the workers would be educated and satisfied with following them up and supervising them. We had to stand on top of our work and face the challenges ourselves, which helped refine our skills, as well as provide us with the experience necessary to move forward in developing our project.”

Al-Jabri stressed the importance of working on his own and following up on the progress of work, as he said: “There is no doubt that all employers need workers and employees to help with the various tasks needed by the project, but we believe in the importance of self-reliance in the details of the work and knowing the secrets of the profession when working. You will certainly need workers, but when you work yourself and supervise them directly, it creates a kind of experience for you in your field, and thus helps you in independence.”

Experience

The two young men, Muhammad Al-Mazrouei and Sultan Al-Jabri, stressed the importance of the experience to know the appropriate field, as it is not possible for a person to know his field in which he excels without experience. Self-employment in a short period of time, which gave us the necessary experience to move forward with this experience.”

Al-Jabri added: “I advise young people to try new things in different fields so that they can know their abilities, and what they can innovate in, as no one expected us to excel in the field of foods, but we took advantage of the pandemic period, in addition to diligence in developing ourselves, which led us to open Our own project.
