Archaeologists preliminarily confirmed that the site is a typical remains of the middle and late Yangshao culture.

  The newly discovered site is located in Kulun Sumu, Chayou Middle Banner. There are a large number of choppers, stone grinding boards, stone knives, stone axes, stone sickles and stone arrows on the surface of the site. Some stone tools are relatively complete, and there are also some shell ornaments. and pottery.

  According to Liu Xuefeng, director of the Cultural Relics Management Office of the Culture and Tourism Bureau of Chayou Middle Banner, experts initially confirmed that the site is a Neolithic relic of the Miaodigou type of Yangshao Culture more than 6,000 years ago.

  Liu Xuefeng said that these new discoveries provide a wealth of archaeological data for studying the distribution of Neolithic cultural relics in central Inner Mongolia and exploring different local types of Yangshao culture.
