China News Service, Nanping, November 3 (Zhang Chenyu, Huang Zejin, Zhang Yuliang) If the first military service is a longing and yearning for the life of the army, then the second enlistment is the purest experience of the military camp after experiencing sweat and tears. Reverence and love.

Zhang Yukun, the "old squad leader" in the recruit company of the Nanping Detachment of the Fujian Armed Police Corps, has fulfilled his "military dream" again.

Zhang Yukun, born in 1999, is a native of Yinan, Shandong. His grandfather Zhang Zhilan and his fourth uncle Zhang Jingping were both soldiers.

In Yukun's memory, his grandfather and fourth uncle often told them stories about the military camp, which filled him with yearning.

Under the influence of his family, in September 2017, he joined the army with a dream and became a network communication soldier of a certain group army and a certain brigade.

During his service, he trained hard and was repeatedly rated as a company training pacesetter.

However, just when he was complacent and planned to serve in the army for a long time, bad news came from his family: his father was suddenly critically ill and urgently needed him to go back to take care of him, so he had to say goodbye to the military camp in tears.

Bringing tea and water, feeding and taking medicine, wiping the body... Back at his hometown, Zhang Yukun took care of his seriously ill father.

In his spare time, he told his father about his two-year military life and the unforgettable experience of participating in major missions.

His son's growth and progress made his father deeply gratified and proud.

Last year, my father tragically passed away.

After taking care of the affairs at home, he thought of enlisting in the army again to serve the country.

During the days of taking care of his father, no matter how busy or tired, Zhang Yukun always maintained the daily routine developed in the army and insisted on physical exercise every day.

In his words, "I can't let go of the goals I didn't achieve in the military camp last time! I will continue the mission that I didn't complete in the camouflage last time."

In August this year, the County People's Armed Forces Department launched a recruitment campaign among young people of appropriate age.

Zhang Yukun's enthusiasm for joining the army and serving the country could no longer be suppressed. After obtaining the consent of his family, he signed up as soon as possible.

Through a series of political assessments and selections, his military career took off again.

Talking about the feeling of re-enlisting in the army, he said: "I used to perform missions with my comrades in arms and established a deep friendship. What I felt was a strong team spirit. Coming here again, let me find the army again. I will start from scratch and take every step of my military career.”

The Zhang Yukun we see now is different from most recruits. His tall and straight posture and resolute face give people the first impression of maturity and stability.

Wearing a military uniform, everything here is so familiar to him.

But the training of the recruit company was another rebirth for Zhang Yukun.

Zhang Yukun once said: "A truly outstanding person does not only care about his own excellence, but can drive a group of people to become outstanding. This is excellence!" Zhang Yukun, who joined the army for the second time, faced a new environment and a new comrade-in-arms. "standard, "recruit" attitude to work.

When a comrade-in-arms doesn't know how to train, he will take the initiative to correct and help; when the cleaning standard is not high, he will take the initiative to demonstrate the help...

Zhang Yukun, a "recruit" who enlisted for the second time, has once again embarked on a dream journey.
