A "free party" brought together between 150 and 300 people in the forest of Dreuille, in Vieure (Allier), last weekend.

This illegal celebration was not to the liking of the authorities… nor of the National Forestry Office (ONF).

This Thursday,

La Montagne

interviewed Marion Henry, head of the Bocage Bourbonnais territorial unit, who immediately announces: "It's too much pressure for the natural environment, too much noise, too many people".

The NFB prefers to be frank: if an official request had been made by the “teufeurs”, it would never have succeeded.

Indeed, the risks are great with regard to the trampling of seedlings, the disturbance of fauna, but also the outbreak of fires.

No incident

“We have a significant decline of oaks and beeches,” explains the head of the organization, pointing to the drought.

“This creates gaps in the canopy, which allows the arrival of low vegetation, such as ferns and brambles, which are very flammable”.

Fortunately, the participants of this "free party" left with their waste and did not trample any seedlings.

In addition, no outbreak of fire was reported.
