In her own words, Hollywood star Jennifer Lawrence (32) once received a career tip from Adele (34).

The singer advised her not to take on a leading role in the sci-fi film Passengers (2016), Lawrence reported in an interview with the New York Times.

"Adele told me not to do it!

She said, "I have a feeling space movies are the new vampire movies." The actress and singer met at the 2013 Academy Awards and have been friends ever since.

"I should have listened to her," Lawrence continued.

In "Passengers," Lawrence and Chris Pratt (43) play two passengers on a spaceship leaving Earth en route to an alien colony.

Since the journey takes 120 years, the people on board have been put to sleep.

However, passenger Jim Preston (Pratt) accidentally wakes up early and wakes up fellow passenger Aurora Lane (Lawrence) out of loneliness.

"Passengers" was nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Music and Best Production Design, but received mixed reviews.
