Analyzes still in progress

Justine Vayrac, mother of a two-and-a-half-year-old boy, disappeared on the night of Sunday October 23, around 4 a.m., after leaving the "La Charette" nightclub in Brive, where she spent the evening with friends.

They last saw her in the company of an "acquaintance" when she felt nauseous and wanted to rest in her car.

He was a 21-year-old farmer from the town of Beynat, 15 km from Brive.

The suspect confessed at the end of his police custody "to having killed the victim while they were both at his home".

Lucas L. told investigators that he "punched him, which would have caused his death" and used an "agricultural machine" to "bury the body" in the forest.

Indicted for rape, kidnapping and murder, the young man was imprisoned.

The autopsy of the victim's body revealed that she was strangled to death and analyzes are underway to determine if she was drugged during the evening in the nightclub.
