Last week, Jason Momoa made a remarkable appearance at a bone marrow donation center located at Brigham Young University-Hawaii.

The actor thus responded to the invitation of the Be The Match initiative, which seeks to raise public awareness of the issue of bone marrow donation.



After arriving with a bang on the handlebars of his Harley, the star of

Aquaman

made the tour of the campus, meeting on the way children awaiting transplants.

This is how he met little Rhyder Lopez, six years old, and his brother Rhaiden, nine years old.

They both have the same hereditary disease, hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, which is as rare as it is potentially fatal.

And while the eldest underwent a transplant seven years ago and is now cured, his little brother has still not found a suitable donor.

In the meantime, the little boy receives heavy treatment which keeps him in relatively good health.

A harmless gesture that can save lives

“I am moved when I think about it.

If my children or your children... It doesn't cost you very much.

Just a swab from the buttocks, and you can save lives, ”Jason Momoa launched to those present, while holding the courageous Rhyder in his arms.

Finally, the meeting ended in music with the performance of a choir and dancers.
