According to the Swiss police, a driver sat on the back seat while driving on the motorway while an assistance system took over the controls autonomously.
The man filmed himself during the action and posted the video on social media, as reported by the Lucerne Canton Police Department on Friday.
Officials were able to locate the 21-year-old.
They temporarily arrested him and took away his driver's license.
The driver admitted his wrongdoing, police said.
The video was made in September on the A2 motorway.
In mid-October, the police learned about the recording that was circulating on the Tiktok platform.
According to a police spokesman, it is not allowed to drive a car autonomously in Switzerland.
Drivers must be able to intervene at any time, he said.
