China News Service, Xi'an, November 4th (Reporter Alina) The issuance ceremony of the stamp pack of "Archaeology of the Silk Road between China and Ukraine" was held at Northwestern University on the 4th.

The stamps are composed of 7 stamps issued by Uzbekistan Postal Company and 6 stamps issued by China Postal Company.

The stamps of both parties are themed on the China-Ukraine Silk Road cultural relics, showing the archaeological achievements of the China-Uzbekistan Silk Road archaeology and the East Tianshan Archaeological Team of Northwestern University.

The "Silk Road Huazhang" stamp pack composed of these two sets of stamps is a collection of the archaeological culture of the Silk Road.

The left main body of the stamp pack is the Ukrainian stamp, the right main body is the Chinese stamp, the middle is the "Northwest Corridor Historic Map" created by Wang Ziyun, the founder of Chinese art archaeology in the 1940s, and the back is the introduction of the stamp pattern.

The themes of the stamps issued this time have been carefully selected.

Among them, the stone couch surrounding the screen of the tomb of Anjia was excavated by the Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology in Xi’an, China. The relief patterns depict the life scenes of the Sogdians in China during the Northern Zhou Dynasty; the painted murals at the Afrasi Ab site are in Samar, Uzbekistan. The frescoes found at the ancient city site of Hanafrasiab depict vivid scenes of Chinese boating in the Tang Dynasty.

The two exquisite pictures show the friendly exchanges and cultural prosperity of the people along the Silk Road more than 1,300 years ago.

Xi'an and Samarkand, where the reliefs and murals came from, are both famous historical and cultural cities, and in 2013 they became "Silk Road Friendship Cities".
