He tried to smuggle 1100 bees in a strange way

A man from Georgia tried to smuggle 110 boxes containing 1,100 bees to Turkey, the man was arrested, last October 22, at a border post.

And local media reported that the man caused a state of anxiety while passing through security.

Although he had the proper paperwork to cross the border, the customs authorities were alerted by his "suspicious movements".

The suspect was then ordered to raise his jacket, revealing 110 cans of these insects attached to his body, each containing a queen bee and nine worker bees.

The failed smuggling attempt led to his arrest.

The Public Prosecution Office in Turkey said that the unidentified man is a “Georgian citizen, between the ages of 45 and 55.” Later, an insect smuggling department came and dealt with smuggled bees.

In a similar context, Turkish local sources claimed that they also confiscated more than 104 kilograms of precious chestnut honey, hidden in a car's fuel tank.
