A refrigerator saves a fisherman from certain death at sea

An old refrigerator on a fishing boat saved the owner of the boat when he took refuge inside it after his boat suddenly sank.

Young fisherman Anat Masayut took his long-tail fishing boat on Koh Lao Hang Island, near Hong Island in Thailand, and was alone, and said the weather was fine while he was fishing.

But a great wave, he said, "came out of nowhere" and hit his boat, the hull filled with water and his boat sank in the middle of the sea.

Fortunately, Anat was able to climb into the old refrigerator in which he kept his fish and lay down in it.

Although he could not see anything for miles, a passing fishing boat eventually passed and pulled Anat safely out of the refrigerator, and took him ashore.

Later, social media said that local benefactors, friends and family invited to participate in helping the young man buy a new boat so that he could earn his living again and go back to sea.
