A new group of guests arrive at the five-star "The White Lotus" and become immediate targets for the resort's local sex workers.

They test the patience of the hotel manager and soon both marriage and family ties are at stake in the Italian paradise.

Just like last time, someone will take their life before the end.

Jennifer Coolidge and Jon Gries back

Jennifer Coolidge and Jon Gries return as middle-aged couple Tanya and Greg McQuoid, the only recurring characters from season one of the series.

Their romantic vacation in Sicily becomes complicated when they start arguing about money.

— I definitely have the financial power in the relationship.

Strangely enough, I don't feel so powerful despite all my money, says Jennifer Coolidge about her wealthy heiress Tanya.

— When you have a very large amount of money, it is difficult to live any kind of normal life that can bring you happiness.

The pressure and responsibility of having that much money is too much for most people to handle, says Coolidge.

What advice would you give Tanya?

— I think if they gave away more of their money they would be happier.

Nouveau riche couple with a dead sex life

Series creator Mike White continues to use black humor to explore financial power in relationships.

Especially for two couples who ended up on a double date from hell.

An unspoken showdown about money, jealousy and who has the right political ideology.

Finance guy Cameron (Theo James) and his wife Daphne (Meghann Fahy) never seem to argue and can't stop sleeping.

Contrasted with nouveau riche geek Ethan (Will Sharpe) and his labor law attorney wife Harper (Aubrey Plaza), who has a dead sex life.

— Mike White really challenges the idea of what a happy couple is with this series.

If they are genuinely happy, maybe we can't judge them for all the chaos that got them there, says Theo James.

Aubrey Plaza explains that her character Harper faces several problems.

— She needs to lie down!

No, but I think we meet her at a time when her marriage has rotted a little.

It happens after a while in relationships that things start to feel too familiar.

I think she's in her own head a lot.

- But when they come to Italy, which is a place full of sensual seduction, it forces her to be in her body a little more.
