Syrian journalist Hussam Hammoud is finally welcomed in France

The Syrian journalist Hussam Hammoud was able to obtain a visa thanks to French justice, more precisely thanks to a call to order addressed to the Ministry of the Interior.

It was a call to order from the judge in chambers of the administrative court of Nantes.

Because the ministry had refused his first visa application in September. 

Hussam Hammoud had asked to be welcomed in France

Hussam Hammoud was surprised and even indignant to see his request rejected by France, he who nevertheless collaborated with several French media and put his life in danger to inform us, in particular by working on several investigations on the Islamic State.

That's why he was threatened and asked to be taken to France.

A "Nightmare Ended"

The refusal of his visa had provoked the mobilization of many editorial staff and French journalists.

In the end, it was justice that allowed Hussam Hammoud, his wife and two children to come and take refuge in France.

"Finally, today with my family we arrived in France, a nightmare ended thanks to each of you especially my lawyers. A new start in a democratic and safe country. Sorry for not having announced it before for reasons security. Thank you for everything!”, reacted the journalist on his Twitter account.
