He forms a shock duo with Léa Salamé every Saturday in the second part of the evening on France 2 in the talk show

 Quelle époque!

.

At 64, Christophe Dechavanne has returned to service on TV alongside the star journalist of the PAF and he does not mind, quite the contrary!

In an interview with

Télé Star

on Monday, October 24, the host confided in his privileged relationship with Léa Salamé.

"We don't pretend"

"We get along very well. We don't pretend," he assured, brushing aside rumors of a disagreement with the journalist.

"I've seen stuff on the Internet. Like what this is not the case. It makes no sense", he was indignant before specifying: "Nobody forced us to work together and nobody won't force us if things don't work out".

This is not the first time that Christophe Dechavanne has made things clear.

At the end of September, he already denied certain rumors in an interview for

TV Mag

: "Everyone said everything and anything about the places that Léa and I could or could not hold… Everything is going very well! At all levels".

"I have not always been easy"

The host, who has experienced several years of "professional scarcity", regrets that he still has the reputation of a difficult man to live with.

"The French love reputations. When things don't seem fair to me, I react," he justifies himself in

Télé Star.

"I have not always been easy, far from it. But the job is not easy. You had to have strong shoulders when Étienne Mougeotte (ex-vice-president of TF1) said to me: 'You can see that the public doesn't want you anymore…'".

Christophe Dechavanne now seems to have reconciled with his audience, at the rendezvous every week to watch

Quelle époque!.

The host hopes that this successful return to television will serve as a springboard for other projects.
