In the coming days, the UAE will witness a cultural movement full of events and activities that consolidate its position as a magnet for creators, writers and intellectuals from different countries of the world and enhance its presence as the first cultural destination in the region.

Within 20 days, the UAE will host 3 major cultural events, represented by the Cultural Summit in Abu Dhabi, the Sharjah International Book Fair, and the Dubai Design Week 2022, which will represent a global platform to discuss the most prominent issues related to literature, thought and all arts and human creations.

Tomorrow (Sunday) the work of the fifth session of the cultural summit will be launched under the slogan "Culture is a way of life" in Manarat Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi, in order to explore the future of the culture sector and discuss creative cultural solutions to the most pressing global issues affecting the world today.

The summit discusses contemporary challenges that lead and drive change in the field of creative and cultural industries, and the broader cultural sectors in today's world, and addresses the concept of adopting culture as a living experience in a world that has witnessed radical transformations imposed by the Corona pandemic, and a better understanding of the broad impact of culture on our individual and collective lives.

More than 180 speakers from all over the world will participate in the summit, and it includes dialogue sessions between artists and a number of cultural performances that celebrate all forms of art, as well as international singing and artistic performances and a collection of classic songs.

Through a variety of keynote speeches, panel discussions, lectures, presentations, and talks, the Summit dedicates the experiences of cultural leaders, artists, decision-makers, researchers, thinkers, educators and innovators to the study of these pressing contemporary issues.


On November 2, intellectuals around the world will be on a date with the forty-first session of the Sharjah International Book Fair, which is organized by the Sharjah Book Authority under the slogan "A Word to the World", in the presence of a number of writers, thinkers and creators from 57 countries, who will participate in the revival of 1,047 diverse cultural events. .

1298 Arab publishing houses and 915 foreign publishing houses will participate in the exhibition, displaying more than 1.5 million titles, on an area of ​​more than 18,000 square meters.

In eight keynote and panel discussions, 33 speakers and international publishers will discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the sector, and a range of issues, including the future of digital publishing in the Arab world, emerging markets globally for marketing audiobooks, and other topics.

 The exhibition includes many events, including the second session of the National Library Summit, with the participation of 30 countries, the Sharjah International Library Conference, and a training course for Arab publishers, aimed at introducing them to the best international practices used in the publishing sector, with the participation of 230 publishers.

 This year, the exhibition dedicated 623 activities for children, ranging from workshops, plays, entertainment and educational shows, in addition to cooking shows for children, with the participation of 45 specialists from 14 countries.


In turn, the Emirate of Dubai will host the "Dubai Design Week 2022", which will start on the 8th of next November and will continue until the 13th of the same month in the Dubai Design District.

The region's largest creative festival features a rich and varied program celebrating design and creativity, including exhibitions, installation works, dialogue sessions, workshops, and more.



As usual, the festival provides an exceptional space for talented and creative designers to highlight their talents and skills.



Dubai Design Week 2022 revolves around the concept of Design for a Sustainable Future, a concept that will be integrated with all activities scheduled throughout the week with a selection of international and regional designers in various fields, including architecture, product design, interiors and multimedia.
