The family of Lola, killed in Paris on October 14, demanded on Friday that "urgently cease, and be withdrawn, any use of the name and image of their child for political purposes", during demonstrations and on the Internet, a their lawyer said in a statement.

Her parents wish "to be able to honor the memory of their daughter in the serenity, respect and dignity which is due to her", recalled the lawyer, the day after a demonstration in Paris in the presence in particular of Eric Zemmour during which some demonstrators carried signs on which appeared the face of the schoolgirl.

Already on Thursday, Lola's parents had called for "dignity" and "respect" before the girl's funeral on Monday, in a press release relayed by the town hall of Lillers (Pas-de-Calais).

Funeral open to all this Monday

The funeral of the 12-year-old schoolgirl is scheduled for Monday at 2:30 p.m. in Lille, her mother's hometown.
