All of France has been affected in recent days.

The air mass loaded with dust from the Sahara passes through Spain before crossing the Pyrenean massif, recalls France 3 Occitanie.

As our colleagues indicate, the Occitanie region has already experienced 26 episodes of the same type since last January.

They are generally observed in the Pyrenean departments.

A colorful sky

The Weather Channel explains that it is more difficult to identify desert dust when the rain does not fix it to the ground.

In contrast, the sky hangs an orange hue.

It is therefore recommended, in these cases, for vulnerable people to limit their movements, in particular around major roads, and to slow down the practice of sport.
