When Emmanuel Macron spoke of "the end of abundance" this summer, we had no idea that it would also concern Doliprane.

And yet, in a press release, the National Medicines Safety Agency (ANSM) called on health professionals to limit the dispensing of paracetamol to their patients, in the face of the drug shortage which has lasted since July, reveals

Le Figaro

.

Beyond the "no more than two boxes per patient in the absence of a prescription", pharmacists are also invited to "prefer dispensing by prescription", and to restrict online sales.

On the side of doctors, the restriction also applies, since they must avoid offering Doliprane or Efferalgan except "in case of immediate need".

Another advice, "prefer a dosage of three doses per day every eight hours (instead of four doses per day every six hours)".

And on the patient side?

It's simple: we stay caaalme, warns the ANSM.

We tighten our belts, we don't stock up and we don't complain about the pharmacist if he gives us less paracetamol than on the prescription: they have the right to do so and it's not risky.
