Last weekend there were events of fundamental importance.

Russia defended its new territories for the first time, having turned its back on Ukraine in recent referendums.

Doubting skeptics were put to shame - the Russian army repulsed all the attacks of the numerically superior forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

So, the last attempt of the offensive of the Ukrainian troops in the areas of Svatov and Kremennaya led to the defeat of 85-90% of the enemy grouping, the power structures of the LPR noted with satisfaction.

There, however, they are not relaxing and are waiting for new breakthrough attempts in the coming days.

The bitter experience of Izyum, Kupyansk and Liman taught our military a lot.

The repulse near Svatov was given immediately after the fiasco of the Ukrainian troops in another direction dangerous for us - Kherson.

The forced evacuation of civilians, promptly organized the day before by local authorities with the support of the center, clearly indicated high risks.

My heart ached - is it really a disaster again ... And it's true, they climbed into our, already Russian, territory as much as two or three battalions, but on armor.

But our guys stood to the death, as once in the Great Patriotic War, military correspondents reported.

Result: 250 Ukrainian soldiers, 11 tanks, 14 armored cars were destroyed.

So in the near future it will become a little easier, although the strategic confrontation between Russia and the West in Ukraine will undoubtedly continue.

This means that more and more NATO military capabilities and resources can be used in the interests of Kyiv.

The fact that Moscow opposes the entire alliance is no longer in doubt.

NATO de facto got into the Ukrainian conflict, the Kremlin has just admitted.

“This probably requires our internal economic and other mobilization.

One thing is the Kyiv regime, and another thing is the potential of NATO.

This is an additional burden.

But our potential allows us to continue the operation under these conditions,” said Dmitry Peskov.

At the same time, the risk arises for the North Atlantic Alliance itself.

The special operation in Ukraine gives Russia “experience in actually fighting the NATO army, which has already been trained in accordance with NATO standards, NATO command chains, equipped with the latest NATO equipment,” Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Olga Stefanishyna complained, referring to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
