BTS' concert in Busan on the 15th.

Towards the end of the splendid performance, member Jin made an unexpected statement.

[BTS Jin: For now, this was the last concert we were holding.

When will we hold another concert in the future?

And today (17th), Big Hit Music, the BTS agency, announced in an official statement, "BTS has begun specific preparations to fulfill its military service obligations."

“The eldest member, Jin, who is 30 years old, applied for the cancellation of his enlistment at the end of this month, and the other members are planning to complete their military service one by one.”

Jin's enlistment was postponed until the end of this year after being recommended by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

However, controversy has continued because 'popular culture' is not clearly included in the arts and sports fields where enlistment can be postponed under the Military Service Act.

[Lee Ki-sik / Commissioner of Military Manpower Administration (National Audit on the 7th): The most important thing in fulfilling military service is fairness.

And fairness…

In this regard, I think it is desirable for BTS to do military service as well.]

If Jin withdraws his enlistment delay, there is a possibility that he will go to the military as early as this year.

The plans for the other members to enlist were not disclosed.

Big Hit said, "We hope to resume activities as a whole, where all BTS members gather again in about 2025. However, it is difficult to specify the exact time at this time."

BTS fans from around the world, 'Army', sent messages of regret and support through social media, etc.

The Ministry of National Defense is planning to seek ways to give BTS members an opportunity to practice on stage even after enlistment, and to perform together when performing overseas.
