Fourteen families of parents of students from Corbeil-Essonnes (Essonne) with assignment problems had launched a legal action in summary proceedings on October 4th.

Three days later, the Administrative Court of Versailles (Yvelines) ordered the assignment within 48 hours of three of the students to a high school in their catchment area;

The State was also ordered to pay 800 euros to the three families.

However, the decision came too late for one of the students, whose family finally decided to return to the Central African Republic where she had previously been educated.

In addition, three other students who filed an appeal obtained an assignment in second Avenir classes which were opened urgently by the rectorate.

They were initially forced to repeat in third.

The case of the other eight students is more complex.

All of them obtained an assignment outside their sector, with sometimes very long journey times.

Another student was assigned to CAP Hôtellerie, which was her last wish.

The eight families decided to appeal.
