, Sony Picture's plan to breathe new life into the comic book heroine.

The actress confirmed the information by sharing on her Instagram account the

article announcing her presence at the casting.

She also added an image of the character representing Jane Fonda, who played the heroine in Roger Vadim's 1968 cult film. Sydney Sweeney's comment leaves little room for doubt.
