In the trial against former superiors of the convicted patient killer Niels Högel, the public prosecutor's office has demanded acquittals for all the accused.
Prosecutor Gesa Weiß said on Wednesday before the district court of Oldenburg that none of the seven defendants had any intention of assisting in manslaughter or attempted manslaughter by omission.
Three doctors, two senior nurses and one senior nurse and an ex-managing director from the Oldenburg and Delmenhorst clinics are accused.
Högel was sentenced to life imprisonment for 85 murders in 2019 and is serving his sentence in Oldenburg prison.
In the process, a joint responsibility of his superiors should be clarified.
Weiss said individual defendants were guilty.
But this is “not justiciable”.
The defense wanted to begin its pleadings in the afternoon.
