Less than a week after the huge breakdown that had paralyzed the four metro lines in Lyon, metro line B is again at a complete standstill this Wednesday afternoon.

No computer bug this time.

This is a malicious act.

“The closing of the doors intentionally blocked by a traveler at the Saxe-Gambetta station” caused the complete interruption of traffic on the entire line, indicates Keolis, the Lyon public transport manager.

Two trains, which were between two stations, were evacuated.

The tunnel surveys “essential for restarting the line” are in progress.

Until traffic can resume, relay buses have been deployed to ensure continuity of service between the Part-Dieu and Oullins stations.

The trains could be put back into circulation around 6 p.m., according to Keolis forecasts.
