The date of the coronation of Charles III has finally been revealed by Buckingham Palace.

The ceremony will take place on May 6, 2023 at Westminster Abbey.

A date that risks putting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in an uncomfortable situation because it is also the birthday date of their son Archie…

Just over a month after the death of Elizabeth II, Buckingham Palace has announced the coronation date of her son Charles III and Camilla Parker Bowles, Queen Consort.

The event will be held on May 6, 2023 at Westminster Abbey, London.

"The ceremony should look to the future, while remaining committed to tradition," Buckingham Palace said.

Charles III's coronation falls on Archie's birthday

One thing is certain: this historic moment will be followed by millions of Britons and viewers around the world and all eyes will therefore be on the British royal family who are trying somehow to forget their past quarrels.

Alas, the latter could already be revived after a short period of truce between Prince Harry, Charles III and William, following the death of Elizabeth II.

And for good reason, the coronation of Charles III falls on exactly the same day as that of the birthday of the son of Meghan and Harry, Archie, who will celebrate his 4 years.

Charles III has not yet decided on the fate of Archie and Lilibet

The date of June 2, 2023 had however been mentioned for the coronation of the son of Elizabeth II… So, how did Harry and Meghan react to this news and above all, how do they plan to organize themselves?

For the moment, the mystery remains whole but this coincidence of the calendar risks rekindling tensions between the couple and the Windsors.

Especially since Charles III has still not decided on the fate of his two grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet.

Will they be able to have the title of prince and princess despite the decision of their parents to leave the Firm?

Here too, the question remains unanswered…
