The prefect of Var issued a decree on Monday limiting fuel purchases to 30 liters per motorist and 120 liters per heavy goods vehicle, she announced in a press release.
The latter has also set up a queue-jumping system at four stations in the department for priority services (law enforcement, firefighters, medical personnel, ambulances, transport of foodstuffs, etc.).
A similar decree was also issued in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, reports

The prefecture recalls that there is no major supply problem, with 9 of the 44 service stations in the department which are out of stock on at least one type of fuel.
