The activities of the 12th edition of the Publishers Conference organized by the Sharjah Book Authority, prior to the launch of the 41st edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair, will host Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the International Publishers Association, and Executive Director of Penguin Random House Marcus Dole, in a panel discussion, which will be held On the first of next November, about recent publishing trends, and the opportunities available to overcome the challenges of the book industry in global markets.

During the session, Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi employs her vision and experience in concluding global partnerships during the presidency of the International Publishers Association, which led her to launch the initiative of the global plan to enhance the sustainability and resilience of the publishing industry "Inspire", and the unprecedented strategy in uniting the publishers community at the global level to adopt a unified vision for the publishing industry at the stage of Beyond Corona, where she and Marcus Dooley discuss a number of important topics, including digital transformation, freedom of publication, diversity, and inclusion.

Marcus Dooley is the Executive Director of Penguan Random House, a subsidiary of the Bertelsmann Foundation, and has extensive experience in the global publishing sector over three decades, during which he oversaw the mergers and recovery of Penguan Random House from the repercussions of the global pandemic, and helped in mediation operations to reach Agreements to obtain the rights to memoirs of public figures, including Bono, the singer of the U2 band, and Michelle Obama, the wife of the former US president.
