Rhythmic gymnastics girl has become a "gold medal" instructor for ten years [learning to explain from scratch, to frequently appearing in national exhibitions]

Recently, the "Forward New Era" theme achievement exhibition is being held at the Beijing Exhibition Center. Zhang Yi, a librarian of Hubei Provincial Museum, led the team as the guide of the Hubei exhibition area, and together with his companions, he took the audience to overview the new changes in Hubei.

This is her tenth year as a museum instructor from scratch. From an athlete in rhythmic gymnastics to a "gold medal" instructor who has frequently appeared in national exhibitions, Zhang Yi has gained a job full of happiness and has become a The communicator of red history and Hubei culture.

Learning to explain from scratch, she has a "little notebook"

Listening to Zhang Yi coming to the exhibits one by one, it is hard for people to think that ten years ago, her stage was still a rhythmic gymnastics arena.

In 2012, Zhang Yi graduated from Wuhan Institute of Physical Education. Because of an accidental injury in pre-match training, and because she often heard the story of "Resistance America and Aid Korea" from her grandfather as a child, she chose to change careers.

Zhang Yi was admitted to the Wuchang Uprising Memorial Hall of the 1911 Revolution as a docent. He followed the leaders and seniors in the museum to learn historical knowledge, and memorized the explanatory words word by word.

The more I study, the more I discover the depth of knowledge. In 2013, Zhang Yi participated in the province's explainer competition for the first time.

"The commentator is very demanding in terms of sound. During the competition, the microphone is not required, and the last row can be heard clearly." Zhang Yan had never learned to broadcast and host, and Zhang Yan did not understand what abdominal pronunciation was, and the voice was thin. It's a palpable lack of confidence.

That time, she didn't get any prizes, so she found a teacher for professional training when she came back.

Now her pronunciation is thicker, and she can switch between different styles: "Exhibits with different themes have different tone of voice when explaining. History needs to be lower, and achievements exhibitions will raise the voice an octave. "

Being a docent is not just about speaking beautifully.

"Our explanatory words are fixed, especially the words of modern and modern history, and cannot be changed at will." How to use the same explanatory words to attract different audiences?

Zhang Yi observes and interacts with the audience, and attracts others.

But sometimes, the audience throws back questions that the narrator can't answer.

"I have a record book, I will sort out these problems, and I can also communicate and share with other lecturers to check and fill in the gaps together."

The hard work pays off. In the 2017 Hubei Province "Tell Chinese Stories" competition, Zhang Yi took home the first prize and the best image award.

In 2018, she was selected as a comprehensive exhibition docent of the Hubei Global Promotion Conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Since then, she has participated in the large-scale exhibition "Great Change - Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening-up" and "Don't Forget the Original Heart and Remember the Mission - The History Exhibition of the Communist Party of China" by the Central Propaganda Department. ” and other national-level exhibitions as interpreters.

Not long ago, Zhang Yi was transferred to work at the Hubei Provincial Museum. "My understanding of Jingchu culture is not deep enough, and I have to study supplementary lessons."

Inappropriate "ruthless memorization machine", go to the construction site to study "air building machine"

In the achievement exhibition on the theme of "Forwarding a New Era", Zhang Yi took charge of the writing of lectures and the training of lecturers in the Hubei exhibition area.

At the end of August, when the exhibition was still in progress, she and her colleagues entered the exhibition hall to train again and again.

"We have two versions of the narration, one minute and three minutes respectively." "The interpreter is not a ruthless word memorizing machine, and more time is spent outside these three minutes." "Standing at the position of explaining, we It is equivalent to the host of Hubei, sharing the good things at home with everyone." In order to "at least answer the first question raised by the audience", Zhang Yi and his colleagues "must prepare all the questions they can think of, and be able to recognize the photos. Every one of them understands the economy, science and technology, culture and other aspects of Hubei Province.”

In a previous exhibition, Zhang Yi made a special trip to the construction site to visit and learn about "building machines in the air".

In order to better understand the exhibits, consulting experts, consulting materials, and on-the-spot learning are all "standard".

In the process of explaining, emotional resonance is more important.

In the special exhibition "People First, Life First - Fighting the New Coronary Pneumonia Epidemic", Zhang Yi talked about it for three months. "The audience often shed tears while watching, and I also shed tears while talking."

In the achievement exhibition on the theme of "Endeavoring a New Era", the Hubei exhibition area focuses on optoelectronic technology and anti-epidemic.

As a "new Wuhan native", Zhang Yi has witnessed the rapid development of Optics Valley; volunteering in the community during the anti-epidemic period made her feel that she has become a part of the city.

This sense of pride and recognition is also integrated into the explanation.

"Many viewers are from Hubei in Beijing. When they visit, they will proudly say to their companions, 'Look how much our Hubei has developed and changed in the past few years'."

Explanation out of the museum, two "diaries" let children feel the "hero city"

The ten years that Zhang Yi has become a docent is also the ten years that the museum has attracted more and more public attention.

"More and more children will come to the museum, and our explanations are gradually leaving the museum." Social education has become Zhang Yi's new interest point. During the Wuchang Uprising Memorial Hall of the 1911 Revolution, she organized what she learned from participating in large-scale exhibitions into Courseware, shared with young people; invite non-genetic inheritors to the memorial hall, face-to-face with children; "Little Docent" training activities are more popular year by year.

During the anti-epidemic period, Zhang Yi planned the "Red Scarf Holding Hands Museum" activity. In order to let the children understand what a "hero city" is, she thought of two special "diaries".

"During the Wuchang Uprising, a captain of the death squad embroidered his experience of being injured in the battle on his combat uniform, which we call a diary written on his clothes. During the Wuhan anti-epidemic period, medical staff wrote cheering and encouraging words on the protective clothing. It’s like a diary.” The two “diaries” separated by more than a hundred years intuitively tell the children, “Why is Wuhan a heroic city? Because whether it is the fire of the Wuchang Uprising in 1911, or the fight against the new crown pneumonia in 2020 The main battlefield of the epidemic, Wuhan has never lacked heroism."

After activities, Zhang Yi gained a lot of "little children".

One year before New Year's Eve, she gave a lecture at Meiyuan School, and the children made all kinds of greeting cards.

A child asked three questions in the "Letter from a Good Friend": "Do you think it is not tiring to work like this? Why do you want to be a docent? What are you working so hard for?"

Zhang Yan replied: "This is a job that can give me a sense of happiness, especially when facing the next generation, allowing children to learn more about red history and Hubei culture through me, I feel very fulfilled. "
