The 10th is the last day of the "National Wagyu Ability Exhibition", and the "Prime Minister's Award", which is given to the best cow, was judged at the venue in Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture.



As a result, three cows from Kagoshima Prefecture were awarded in the "Seed Cattle Category," which evaluates the good physique of cows.

Kagoshima Prefecture won the Prime Minister's Award for the first time in 30 years since 1992.

In addition, three cows from Miyazaki Prefecture were selected in the "Beef Cattle Category," where the quality and quantity of meat is actually evaluated.



At the closing ceremony, when Prime Minister Kishida handed over the certificates and trophies to the exhibitors, they received a big round of applause.



Mr. Shintaro Ochiai, an exhibitor from Kagoshima Prefecture, said, "I'm happy to be able to win the Prime Minister's Award at a local event."



In this tournament, Kagoshima Prefecture won first place in five out of eight divisions in two divisions, and also won the "Prime Minister's Award", exceeding the target.
