On the night of the 9th, there was an accident in which a train and a light car collided at a railroad crossing of the Tobu Nikko Line in Tochigi City, Tochigi Prefecture, and according to the police, three passengers on the train suffered minor injuries such as neck pain.

At around 7:20 pm on the 9th, a 3-car limited express train bound for Kinugawa from Asakusa collided with a light car at the railroad crossing of the Tobu Nikko Line in Tsugamachiya, Tochigi City.



According to the police, the driver of the light car said that the barrier came down when he entered the railroad crossing, and when he got out of the car to press the emergency button, he collided with the limited express train that was running.



The light car was wrecked and was pushed by the train several dozen meters from the railroad crossing, but the driver was not injured.



About 60 people, including passengers, were on the train, and three of them had minor injuries such as neck pain and numbness in their limbs, although they were not transported to the hospital.



The scene is a railroad crossing about 150 meters north of Ienaka Station, and the police are investigating the details of the accident.



Due to this accident, the Tobu Nikko Line has suspended operation on the inbound and outbound lines between Shin-Tochigi Station and Shin-Kanuma Station.
