In order to support young children who are evacuated from Ukraine to Japan and various places, an initiative to distribute Ukrainian learning materials free of charge has started.

A major Japanese publishing company has prepared 10,000 volumes of educational materials for children living in evacuation shelters in various parts of the country, as a publisher producing educational materials in Ukraine has suspended operations due to the military invasion.

On the 9th, it was distributed free of charge at a Sunday school in Yotsuya, Tokyo, where Ukrainian children learn language and culture, and four children aged 5 to 9 who have been evacuated to Japan since March this year immediately received teaching materials. I opened it up and enjoyed it.

The teaching materials are aimed at children up to the age of 5 before they go to school, and they teach letters, numbers, and shapes through illustrations. The girl's mother said, ``There were only English books in the library, and the children were spending their time without studying in Ukrainian, so I am very grateful.''

Toru Goromaru, president of "Gakken," said, "Children are the ones most affected by war, so we want to continue to support them so that they don't stop learning."

In addition to distributing educational materials to kindergartens and local governments across the country according to requests, we will also deliver them to evacuation centers in Ukraine and neighboring countries through UNICEF.
