It has continued to storm around the rapper Kanye West, who also goes by the name Ye, recently.

In addition to swinging wildly in social media, he has also been noticed again for his controversial statements and actions.

Among other things, the artist wore, and showed off, a shirt with the text White Lives Matter during fashion week in Paris, something that provoked strong reactions both among fans and other music, fashion and artist colleagues.

The whole thing was followed by an open fight on Instagram, where, among other things, a fierce exchange of words broke out between West and Vogue's fashion editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson.

Restrictions on Instagram

At the same time, the rapper via Instagram has openly criticized his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, where he believes that she and her family prevented him from meeting their common daughter.

It all ended with former sister-in-law Khloe Kardashian rushing to the rescue in the comments section, whereupon the artist directed harsh words at her, calling her comments "lies."

Now Kanye West has had his account restricted on Instagram, reports Independent and Variety, among others.

The company Meta, which owns the platform, does not want to go into the reason for the restrictions.

But according to the company, the restrictions must refer to posts, comments and messages and be temporary.

And it's not the first time it's happened, in March the artist's account was shut down for a day after a series of violations of the platform's rules.

The company declined to comment on which posts were removed in the latest case, according to Variety.

Comeback on Twitter

Kanye West made a late Saturday night comeback on Twitter where he published his first post in two years depicting a picture of a cap with the text "2024".

Whether it is a signal of some kind of political ambition is not clear.

But Tesla founder Elon Musk, who is currently in the midst of an infected Twitter purchase process, was quick to welcome West.

"Welcome back to Twitter, my friend!", writes Musk.

Shortly afterwards, Kanye West also posted a photo of himself with Meta's owner Mark Zuckerberg, along with the text "Look at this Mark, how can you ban me from Instagram".

Mark Zuckerberg has not yet responded.
