American police arrest two men who stole 57 watermelons

The American police have arrested two men in California who committed the strangest robbery the United States has ever seen, as they stole 57 watermelons from a field.

Commenting on the incident, the Merced County Sheriff's Office said that policemen went to a farm in California, USA, after reporting an incident of theft.

When the American police arrived, they spoke to the farm owner, who said that people were stealing watermelons from his field.

In its statement, the police said that some witnesses saw a car leaving the farm at speed and were able to stop it, as they found 57 watermelons in the car.

The US District Sheriff's Office said Eric Vasquez, 23, and Brian Vasquez Poinrostro, 30, were arrested in the wake of the incident.

According to prison records, the two face several charges related to the incident, including the felony of fruit theft, and the watermelons were returned to the farm owner.
