After a trip to the USA: a man is stung by a scorpion in his apartment in Munich

A 32-year-old from Munich could have done without this souvenir: in the middle of the night he stepped on a scorpion he had brought from California in his apartment.

Together with a partner, the man had taken a tent vacation in the USA, as the Munich fire department announced on Sunday.

Apparently, the animal hid in the tent for twelve days after returning and escaped unnoticed when unpacking.

When the 32-year-old stepped on his training pants that were lying on the ground during the night, he was stung by the scorpion and finally discovered the animal.

"Stung by a scorpion;

now good advice was expensive, ”wrote the fire brigade.

The 32-year-old caught the animal with a glass, informed animal rescue and called the poison control center.

Rescue workers took the man to the hospital as a precaution, but according to the fire department he is doing well.

The scorpion was taken to a reptile sanctuary.
