The Arab Youth Center for Young Arab Talents opens the door for registration in the second and expanded version of the “Arab Youth Podcast Training Program”, which enables young creative talents from various Arab countries with specialized skills, meetings and support opportunities necessary to create targeted podcast channels, and to produce audio content that touches on youth issues. It supports human development pathways, economies and knowledge societies in the Arab region.

In response to the growing rise of podcasting projects among young people, the program, during its second edition, organized under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the Arab Youth Center, aims to provide young people with the basic and advanced skills necessary to launch their own audio platforms, with the support of specialists and experts. In the field of podcasting from partners, it also enables them through training courses and workshops in the field of podcasting and podcasts, in addition to direct consultation sessions between young people, experts and inspirations in the world of podcasts.

The center is organizing the new version of the program, in cooperation with leading institutions in the Arab content industry, including the global platforms "Sawt", "Mathwaise", "Mulham Plus", "Anghami", the knowledge application "Wajez", and the Sky News Arabia Academy.

Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Vice-President of the Arab Youth Center, Shamma bint Suhail bin Faris Al Mazrouei, affirmed that "young people have the intellect and talent to create constructive, positive and globally competitive content, which monitors success stories, highlights bright spots, inspiring models and pioneering experiences in various fields, and the role of institutions. Youth work is to support and empower them with skills, tools and experiences that qualify them to transform their innovative ideas into promising projects.”

She added, "The content industry offers new opportunities for young talents to contribute to the products of the digital and creative economy, disseminate knowledge, enhance awareness, and highlight success stories."

She explained that the number of podcast listeners globally is expected to reach 424 million by the end of this year, and estimates indicate that the number of podcast channels exceeded 2.4 million, and the number of its episodes increased to 66 million episodes last June, and this is an opportunity for young people to benefit from this emerging global trend to achieve themselves. and contribute to supporting their communities.

The founding version of the Arab Youth Podcast Training Program supported 20 new channels to produce Arab podcasts.

It also facilitated the support of the program partners, nine channels selected for marketing by the partners, qualified 100 young men and women, and provided more than 80 training hours.

Choose the best

The content of the Arab Youth podcast training program includes specialized courses in podcast production, audio recording, and audio coloring, in addition to podcast editing and marketing workshops, while the top 20 finalists will receive an intensive final training phase, which includes hours of technical consultations with experts in the field to develop ideas and improve a plan. Work, and answer questions, within direct sessions on developing work plans, developing technical production, and developing publishing and marketing plans.

The training takes place in two phases, in the first 100 young men and women participate, to present podcast episodes at the end, from which the program committee selects the best 20 episodes, to qualify the owners for the second phase, which includes intensive training sessions, ending with the selection of the winning projects to honor the top three.

In its second session, the program attracts Arab youth from 18 to 35 years old who are interested in podcasting, designing, planning, implementing and producing creative audio content in Arabic.
