During the autumn harvest season, she is "basically away from home" throughout the year and is helping farmers in Gangdi Village, Neiqiu County, deep in the Taihang Mountains.

　　Guo Suping is the wife of "New Yugong of Taihang" Li Baoguo and a core member of Li Baoguo's team.

After Li Baoguo passed away in 2016, Guo Suping, who was in her sixtieth year, resolutely chose to go ahead and continue to complete her husband's unfinished business. It took more than 6 years in a blink of an eye.

Over the years, Guo Suping and her team have always been fighting in the front line of comprehensive development in mountainous areas and rural revitalization.

Her footprints are all over more than 30 counties and cities in Hebei Province. In order to promote fruit tree management technology, she spends an average of more than 300 days on the front line of poverty alleviation every year.

　　The new crown pneumonia epidemic has brought unprecedented difficulties to Guo Suping's work.

She said that the epidemic has affected transportation to a certain extent. In order not to delay the farming time, she will help farmers solve technical problems by phone or online video.

But as long as conditions permit, she insists on going to the mountains to give technical guidance in person. "We have never refused a farmer's request for help."

　　"Over the years, in response to the key bottlenecks restricting the development of the industry, we have broken through more than ten core technologies, such as the early high-yield planting of apples, the reconstruction of low-yield and inferior walnut orchards, the efficient supporting cultivation of red raspberries, intelligent pest monitoring, and intensive product processing. , which provides reliable technical support for the increase in the income of the characteristic economic forest industry." Guo Suping said.

　　Not only in the Taihang Mountains, members of Guo Suping's team have successively visited more than 370 cities and counties in 14 provinces, including Hebei, Henan, Shanxi, Xinjiang, Hubei, and Jiangsu, to provide "follow-up" technical guidance to fruit farmers.

According to Guo Suping, the team members spend more than two-thirds of their time serving fruit farmers each year. They have trained nearly 70,000 fruit farmers, benefiting more than 3 million mu of planting area, and the cumulative output value has increased by 2.94 billion yuan compared with 2015.

　　In the past ten years, China has achieved a comprehensive victory in the battle against poverty, and the modernization of agriculture has reached a new level. The contribution rate of agricultural science and technology progress has reached 61%.

At the same time, the rural revitalization is off to a good start. In 2021, the per capita disposable income of rural residents will reach 18,931 yuan, more than double that of 2012, and the production and living standards of farmers have reached a big step.

She said that the Taihang Mountains are not only greener, but also the agricultural infrastructure has been improved. The wallets of the villagers have also expanded, and many villagers have also lived in new houses.

In Gangdi Village, where she is currently located, with the Fugang apples grown in 128 standard procedures, the per capita income in 2021 will exceed 45,000 yuan.

　　"More importantly, farmers' awareness of scientific management is improving." Guo Suping said that the villagers realized that agriculture is also inseparable from science and technology and scientific management.
