The high school section of the "NHK National School Music Contest" was held on the 8th, and Tokyo's Otsuma Nakano High School won the gold prize for the second time in five years.

The 89th "NHK National School Music Contest" began on the 8th at the NHK Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo for three days, and the high school section was held on the first day.

The 11 schools that won each block across the country participated in the competition, and each school sang a free piece of music selected by each school, including the theme song "I can hear silence" written and composed for the competition.



As a result of the judging, Otsuma Nakano High School in Tokyo, which was participating for the 10th time, was selected for the second gold prize for the first time in five years.



In addition, Toshimagaoka Joshigakuen High School in Tokyo won the silver prize, and Fukushima Prefectural Aizu High School and Fukushima Prefectural Asaka Reimei High School won the bronze prize.
