In an interview granted for the magazine "Gala" Thursday, October 6, Sheila confides without filter on the state of her finances.

The 77-year-old singer explains that she was wronged financially, in particular by her producer at the time Claude Carrère, whom she describes as a "bandit".

Sheila is celebrating her 60th anniversary this year.

In 1962, the singer, then only 18 years old, met her first successes in song.

Young and certainly gullible at the time, the artist was sometimes poorly surrounded, as she explains Thursday, October 6 in an interview for the magazine

Gala.

"I only discovered the existence of the word 'royalties' in 1982!"

"I was very naive. I trusted, I got tricked, and I'm responsible for it," she says.

"My producer, Claude Carrère, was a highwayman, and I only discovered the existence of the word 'royalties' in 1982! It was even he who, with Gérard de Villiers, let the rumor run who pretended that I was a man, whereas he was supposed to protect me!".

"I can't live thinking only of that"

Because of these malicious people, the interpreter of

You friends

believes that today she leads a lifestyle far removed from that of the other great stars of French song.

"Even if I'm not to be pitied, I don't have a villa in Saint-Tropez or buildings in Paris. But I can't live thinking only of that", she confides to our conferees of

Gala.

Sheila will soon be touring all over France to perform the songs from her album

Venue d'ailleurs

, released in 2021, but also all the great hits that made her successful, brought together in

La compilation

, the best-of of her 60 years of career.
