China News Service reporter Liu Xianglin

Not long after the new semester started, Mei Mei was even more busy. In addition to preparing to go to the school for the courseware of the rule of law class, she was also busy with her colleagues to visit and investigate the environmental safety and food safety around the campus, to supervise and prevent the violation of many minors. The situation of human rights and interests occurs, purify the surrounding environment of the campus, and protect the healthy growth of young people.

Mei Mei is the director of the fifth-level procuratorial department and a fourth-level senior prosecutor of the People's Procuratorate of Dadukou District, Chongqing.

Among the minors in Dadukou, there may not be many people who know the name Mei Mei, but when "Sister Sha" is mentioned, many children will rush to tell you: "Sister Sha came to our school a few days ago to give a theme lecture. What!" "Sister Sha looked very kind and told us a lot of little stories about popularizing the law."

For Mei Mei, "Sister Sha" is not only a nickname and a team of prosecutors, but also a feeling and spirit to protect the healthy growth of young people under the rule of law.

Protecting the legitimate rights and interests of minors and caring for the healthy growth of minors is what Mei Mei has struggled for in the past 19 years.

Walk side by side with "Sister Sha", let the youth in the flower season get lost

In 2003, Mei Mei entered the People's Procuratorate of Dadukou District, Chongqing, and began to work with juvenile prosecutors.

Not long after she started working, a court trial left her still fresh in her memory.

Xiao He, a minor suspected of robbery, burst into tears during the trial: "I didn't know it was a crime! If I knew, I would definitely not have done it!" This scene deeply touched Mei Mei.

In each distressing juvenile case, Mei Mei not only saw legal issues, but also children's growth issues, family issues, and social issues.

On the basis of adhering to fairness and justice in handling cases, Mei Mei often wonders, can she do more for minors?

Bring the children who have gone astray back on the right path, so that more children will not get lost?

The picture shows that Mei Mei is introducing the letter written to her by the "lost boy" she once helped in the "Sister Sha Talking about the Heart Room" of the Dadukou District Procuratorate in Chongqing.

To this end, in 2004, Mei Mei and her colleagues founded the "Sister Sha" youth rights protection post.

Since then, Mei Mei and "Sister Sha" have walked side by side on the escort road for minors and have never left for 19 years.

In 2012, Xiaowen stabbed others for a friend.

Xiaowen's momentary "loyalty" shrouded the entire family in a haze.

Xiaowen also regretted her impulsive behavior and carried a heavy psychological burden on her back.

"It's very simple to punish a child, but it takes a lot of effort to help a child get out of the haze." Mei Mei said that the child accidentally took a fork in the road, all she had to do was to hold their hand and lead them Back on track.

In order to help Xiaowen get back on the right track, Mei Mei led the formation of a special help and education group, and arranged for a psychological counselor to provide Xiaowen with psychological treatment.

Through unremitting care and love, Xiaowen gradually let go of the burden and rekindled hope for life.

After 3 years of help and education, this once rebellious child has returned to the right track, with a smile on his face and sunshine in his eyes.

"Adolescence is the 'joining booting stage' of life, and it needs careful guidance and cultivation the most." Mei Mei believes that closing the case is not the end of handling cases involving minors. What is important is how to save minors and make them return to their families , return to school, return to society.

"The more we do, the easier it will be for the children to move forward." In recent years, Mei Mei and her colleagues have compiled juvenile crime cases into a series of comic pocket books "Sister Sha Telling Stories", and established the "Sister Sha Telling Stories". The "Sister Sha" hotline, the "Sister Sha" mailbox, and the "Sister Sha" chat room, etc., have continuously expanded the content and scope of the work of the "Sister Sha" Youth Rights Protection Post, making the judiciary warmer.

From 7 people to a group of people, "Sister Sha" gathers the power to protect minors

"Sister, I know I was wrong, and I will repent. In the future, I want to buy an excavator, be my own boss, and make money to support my younger brother..."

In the "Sister Sha Talking about the Heart Room" of the Dadukou District Procuratorate in Chongqing, the most striking are the letters.

These letters are all letters from the former "lost boy" to Mei Mei, and they are also Mei Mei's most precious "baby".

The letters may be long or short, with gratitude, regret, hope for the future, and firm confidence in the present.

Children like to call Mei Mei "sister".

For them, Mei Mei is not only an upright prosecutor, but also a "confidant sister" who can communicate with them and listen patiently.

Mei Mei still remembered that it was one summer, accompanied by the sound of cicadas, 10-year-old girl Xiao Li came to "Sister Sha Talking about the Heart" for help.

Because of being illegally violated by criminals, this cheerful and lively girl began to have hallucinations and was slightly autistic.

Mei Mei was so distressed that she specially invited a psychologist to conduct psychological crisis intervention for her, and gave her a big hug after each treatment.

"Sister, I like you very much. Mom and Dad are often away. No one has hugged me like you. I feel very warm." At the end of the last heart-to-heart talk, the little girl took the initiative to hug Mei Mei and said to her.

"It takes a process for minors to accept us and trust us. Due to the lack of education, their transformation is usually not immediate, and requires sufficient patience and long-term persistence." Mei Mei said, starting from the word "love" and doing it seriously It is her dream to make "Sister Sha" a brand that cares for minors and helps people solve legal problems in every case. It is also her original intention that has never changed in the past 19 years.

Through unremitting efforts, with patience, love and sense of responsibility, Mei Mei and her colleagues have gradually expanded the work content and scope of the "Sister Sha" juvenile rights protection post, further improved the way of handling juvenile crime cases, and formed a case-handling, help and education system. The four-in-one rights protection system of protection, prevention and protection, actively implement the criminal reconciliation system, and explore different assistance and education systems according to different objects, extending the assistance process forward and backward.

In the past nineteen years, a single spark has become a prairie prairie.

From the initial 7-person team, it has expanded to the participation of the three-level procuratorate in Chongqing, with 416 "Sister Sha" prosecutors and 1,678 "Sister Sha" volunteers from all walks of life.

From lectures on the rule of law, to mooting courts; from watching legal micro-movies to arranging legal sitcoms... "Sister Sha" has held various activities, allowing underage audiences to subtly accept and recognize the rule of law education.

"Sister Sha" has become an important carrier of law enforcement and legal popularization and innovative social governance.

"Even if everyone only remembers the name 'Sister Sha' after many years, I will feel that my years of hard work have not been in vain. I would like to always be a trustworthy prosecutor of 'Sister Sha' in the hearts of teenagers, and protect them from the sun. "..." Mei Mei said.
