31 publishing houses in “Istanbul for Arab Books”

The Emirates Publishers Association provides the Arab public and those interested in Arab culture in Turkey with the opportunity to acquire samples of Emirati books in various arts, knowledge and literary texts, which reflect the state of the creative scene in the Emirates, during its participation in the Istanbul International Arab Book Fair, which will be held during the period From 1 to 9 October.

Through the "Platform" project launched by the association to enable publishing houses in the Emirates to display their publications in various international book fairs, the association presents to the readership audience in Istanbul 284 titles from the publications of 31 Emirati publishing houses, with a total of 2,000 books, including illustrated stories within the publications intended for children and young people.

The Emirates Publishers Association invited the publishers participating in the exhibition and the Arab public in Turkey, to visit the association's pavilion, and expressed its willingness to provide an explanation for those interested in learning about the experiences of Emirati publishing houses.

Ali bin Hatem, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Publishers Association, said: “Participation in the Istanbul International Arab Book Fair represents an opportunity to transfer Emirati and Arabic books to Arab communities, and to Turkish students, libraries and universities, which are interested in documenting and acquiring Arabic books, and strengthening the links between Emirati publishing houses and the public. Readers who are united by a passion for culture and knowledge, and to introduce the development achieved by the publishing industry in the Emirates that meets the interests of the book audience in the region, through meeting with publishing institutions in Turkey, and discussing the possibility of expanding translation projects.”
