Tourist trips with electric abras in the global village, starting from October 25

 The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai will provide, starting from this October 25, tourist trips on electric abras for guests of the Global Village, in conjunction with the launch of the twenty-seventh season of the village 2022-2023


. Mohammed Abu Bakr Al Hashimi, Director of the Maritime Transport Department at the Public Transport Corporation said that the authority seeks Always to provide the electric abra service with the launch of the activities of the global village every year, especially with a great demand for its use by the public, which contributes to revitalizing the tourism movement in the global village and provides its pioneers, guests and visitors with a unique experience in the use of abras powered by renewable energy, which is reflected in the Convenience of the public, whether residents or visitors.


Al-Hashemi added: "We have adopted a plan to operate two electrically powered abras to serve the guests of the Global Village in its current season, as this service has been very popular throughout the past seasons of the village."


He praised the role played by the Global Village in stimulating and promoting tourism during the winter season every year, stressing that the authority is always keen to support tourism in the Emirate of Dubai by providing multiple means of mass transportation, including marine transport modes represented by all kinds of abras, Dubai Ferry, water bus and water taxi.
