But since then he has tested positive for the infection.
Touring with the All Starr Band
"Ringo hopes to resume touring as soon as possible and is recuperating at home," reads a statement obtained by Variety.
Ringo Starr currently tours with his All Starr Band, which includes Edgar Winter and members of Toto and Men at Work.
He and Paul McCartney, 80, are the last surviving members of the Beatles.
